The Peoria Pirates are a new major league professional football team that will begin operations as an charter member of the American Football League. This new Central Illinois football club will be a blue-collar team that is fully emersed in the local community.

The Pirates derive their nickname from both their past football clubs in the city of Peoria. The Pirates uniform and logo designs are owned by the city of Peoria, IL. The Pirates are the only small market club and will be drawing their fan base from more than 1 million people within driving distance.
The Peoria Pirates nickname and logo belong to the city of Peoria, IL. Discussions were held in August 2011 and the city agree verbally to allow us to use the nickname and logo if we ploced a team in Peoria.
