The  Birmingham Yellowhammers are a new major league professional football team that will begin operations as an charter member of the American Football League. This new Birmingham football club will be a blue-collar team that is fully emersed in the local community.



The Yellowhammers derive their nickname and their colors from the Alabama state bird.  The Yellowhammers uniform and logo designs were created by Gary Scherer for the American Football League (c) 2011.
