The  Louisville Tanks are a new major league professional football team that will begin operations as an charter member of the American Football League. This new Louisville football club will be a blue-collar team that is fully emersed in the local community.



The Tanks derive their nickname and their colors from the association with the Sherman Tank and General George S. Patton Jr. during and after WWII.  The Tanks uniform and logo designs were created by Gary Scherer for the American Football League © 2011.
