Rules
The American Football League will follow the common rules of professional football unless stipulated here. The common rules of pro football indicate those established by the NFL.
Player Size and Age Requirements
1) All potential players must be of 22 years of age or given special permission from the league office.
2) All gameday players can weigh no more than 285 lbs.
Timeing Rules
1) The time clock will only stop penalties, injuries and called timeouts except during the last two minutes per half, where time will stop on incomplete passes as well.
2) There are no overtime rules except during playoff and Championship games.
3) During overtime, each team must have at leaset one posession of the ball.
Contact Rules
1) linemen may grab, shove and push on the line as long as they do not break the 90° barrier. This barrier is defined as being a 90° angle from the line of scrimmage.
